Job Description: Role Platform Support TechnicianLocation Santa Clara CaliforniaShift Timings Regular Day Shift Mon FriJob Skills Familiar with computer server hardware architectureAbility to assemble server systems using various hardware componentsAbility to debug issues in server system bringupAbility to socket CPUs flash BIOS install Operating Systems Windows Linux install Firmware and Drivers disk partitioning configuring networks and debug associated issuesAbility to configure KVMs network switches and storage arraysWorking knowledge of BIOS Firmware and Drivers and their interaction with Operating System etcAbility to organize lab space and infrastructure for a given project network and power cabling test benchrack setup etcAbility to do configuration changes at BIOSFirmware levelFamiliar with scripting Python Shell etcAbility to make minor changes to test automation scriptsAbility to setup test and measurement equipment Power meter Oscilloscope Logic analyzers protocol analyzers etc for a given testAbility to Triage test data and debug test setupconfiguration related issuesAbility to communicate with various stake holders Validation Engineers Lab managersOther Expectations Attention to detail and well organizedAbility to follow given instructions clearlyAble to lift 35 Lbs job may require shifting computers from one rack to another etcCandidate should have reliable transportation and are OK with daily commute as it is 100 onsite workCandidate must have good attitude communication skillsWillingness to learnSkills: Mandatory Skills : Jira Service Desk,Servicedesk,Windows Server
