Job Title: Electrical Technician III

Location: Midkiff, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5/2 | 7:00 am — 4:00 pm | Weekly on-call rotation


Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technician III to support field electrical maintenance activities, including isolation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for lighting, HVAC, and motors. This position requires a Texas Journeyman license and prior experience in oil & gas or industrial electrical maintenance. The role will involve vendor coordination, plant modification support, and participation in daily operations meetings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical systems, including lighting, HVAC, and motors
  • Execute electrical isolations using Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
  • Support plant modifications by complying with Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Work with vendors and sub-contractors as needed
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and cost savings in electrical maintenance activities
  • Apply and promote high SSHE standards; demonstrate responsibility for the safety of self and others
  • Employ Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe acts
  • Actively participate in responsible waste management systems
  • Attend and contribute to daily Operations morning shift meetings
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and technical history records in company systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician License (Texas) — Required
  • 4–6 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience
  • Previous oil & gas or industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend corrective actions
  • Team player, with ability to work collaboratively across groups without direct authority
  • Strong organizational skills; able to adapt to heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
