Electrical Engineer II (Battery Materials Characterization Technician/Engineer)

Job Description (including years of experience, duties, skills, education)

• Conduct in-depth materials characterization and FA on silicon anode materials and battery cells

• Design and develop advanced silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to scale up promising materials and process

• Deep understanding of electrochemical performance metrics, degradation mechanisms, and material interfaces.

• Hands-on experience with materials characterization tools (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman).

• Familiarity with battery cell design, prototyping, and testing protocols.

• Strong collaboration skills to work across materials science, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Bachelor, or M.S. or Ph.D in materials science, chemical engineering, electrochemistry or a related field

• 3 year of relevance industry or academic research experience
