EIT Project Manager II

The Enterprise Information Technology’s Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced EIT Project Manager II to lead complex IT Information Security initiatives, including security controls, compliance, risk mitigation, and secure delivery. In this role, you’ll manage projects end‑to‑end and partner closely with senior leadership.

Our ideal candidates will bring:

  • Strong PMO experience
  • Exposure to Infrastructure & Operations and Information Security services
  • Experience with data analysis using AI and/or building AI agents to streamline and enhance day‑to‑day work
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Strong Executive Reporting & Communication Skills
  • Prior BCBST PMO experience preferred

Note:

  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • This position is fully remote; however, candidates will be required to attend a final round of onsite interviews at our Chattanooga, TN headquarters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages enterprise projects with little assistance.

  • Updates and maintains current project information within the established project management tool.

  • Manages scope and the execution of change management processes.

  • Ensures the procurement of hardware, software and human resources as needed for the project.

  • Manages project costs, and works with project owners, stakeholders, and delivery team to manage project quality.

  • Tracks and reports risks and issues.

  • Proactively evaluates project activities.

  • Builds contingency plans.

  • Executes corrective actions when necessary.

  • Implements risk response plans to manage risk.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience.

Experience

  • 4 years experience in business or information technology project delivery.

Skills/Certifications

  • Experienced in Agile, Scaled Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  • Must be a team player, be organized, and handle multiple projects.
  • Has a successful track record completing projects on time and on budget.
  • Must be comfortable with professionally challenging key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
