Document Control Specialist I
Job Title: Document Control Specialist I
Location: Round Lake, IL
Pay Range: $20.00 – $21.30/hr
Hours: 40 hours/week, with flexibility to work some weekends as required
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
Responsibilities

Create, verify, and distribute quality documentation required for manufacturing processes and batch releases

Support Document Center Technicians with standard office work and documentation tasks

Maintain department equipment and inventory levels for controlled materials

Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results to support quality systems

Identify process improvements and escalate to Quality Supervision and Management

Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Support operations in both Drug Delivery and Penicillin manufacturing facilities as needed

Overtime may be required to meet production schedules

Adhere to current Good Manufacturing & Documentation Practices in pharmaceutical manufacturing as applicable
Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Basic science, math, and computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Strong written and verbal communication, with good problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and possibly overtime

Experience with current Good Manufacturing & Documentation Practices in pharma or medical device manufacturing preferred

Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs

6 months of manufacturing or quality experience preferred

Ability to work independently and make decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements
