Director, Product Platform Integration
Job Description We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world — together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?
Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford’s retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.
In this position… In this role, you are the single-threaded leader responsible for the seamless transition of digital experiences and product innovations into vehicle platforms and programs. This role manages an organization that combines Platform and IS Program Interface teams to ensure a consistent, efficient, and high-quality product delivery pipeline.
You will oversee four senior managers, driving the standardization of IS Hardware, ensuring financial targets are met at every GPDS milestone, and guaranteeing that products and their requirements are successfully integrated into the platform and program bill of features.
Responsibilities What you’ll do…
- Serve as the single-threaded leader for the unified Program and Platform Interface organization, managing four LL5 senior leaders to drive seamless integration between product development, platform architecture, and vehicle program execution.
- Orchestrate the end-to-end interface with the TPP team to ensure experiences and PRDs are delivered on schedule and successfully landed within the platform and program Bill of Features.
- Direct the standardization of IS Hardware across all programs, ensuring rigorous compliance and the delivery of key financial milestones while tracking and achieving cost-reduction targets and securing sign-off at key GPDS milestones.
- Act as a single point of contact to support the delivery of IS goals across programs and regions.
- Act as the primary bridge between IS, Product, Platform, and Program teams.
Qualifications You’ll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in product development, program management, or systems engineering, with a proven track record of managing senior-level managers (LL5 or equivalent).
- 5 years’ experience working with Ford’s Global Product Development System (GPDS) or a comparable construct
- 2-3 years’ experience working closely with finance to track complex budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership and navigate complex, matrixed organizations to drive alignment.
Even better, you may have…
- Master’s degree in engineering or an MBA
- CPE or CPE Experience
- Experience working within a platform construct to deliver and scale products and services
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we’ve outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
