Medical learners are already using tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT to prepare for boards and rotations — outside institutional oversight. These tools ignore curriculum alignment, provide no visibility to program leadership, and create accreditation blind spots. edYOU Provost™ is the governed alternative: AI tutoring anchored to faculty-approved content, predictive board-readiness analytics, milestone tracking, and a full Academic Command Centre for institutional oversight.

The platform is validated through a live partnership with the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP), serving 16 programs and :400 active licenses, with IRB-approved research showing a 10% learning improvement. edYOU is also affiliated with Residents Medical, leveraging more than 20 years of trusted relationships across the GME ecosystem.

This is a founding commercial leadership role. As our first dedicated sales hire, you will build the sales function from the ground up while personally driving pipeline and closing foundational institutional accounts.

You will sell directly to Deans, Vice Deans, Designated Institutional Officials (DIOs), Program Directors, and Department Heads across GME programs and academic medical centers nationally. In parallel, you will expand our professional medical society partnership model — replicating the validated ASCP framework to digitize and distribute society curricula through edYOU Provost’s AI infrastructure.

Your mandate is twofold: architect the commercial engine (sales playbook, CRM, KPIs, positioning, society motion) and actively close enterprise deals. This is a builder-seller role in a category-defining market — ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and knows how to sell complex, multi-stakeholder solutions into conservative institutions.

Compensation includes competitive base + commission (OTE $220K-$280K), equity aligned to early leadership impact, full health benefits, and hybrid flexibility (LA preferred).

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of B2B sales experience with consistent quota attainment in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments
  • Proven experience in a startup or early-stage company, ideally as an early sales hire building process from scratch
  • Ability to both design scalable sales systems and personally execute full-cycle sales
  • Experience presenting to senior academic, clinical, or executive leadership
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Comfort selling into regulated or institutionally complex markets

Preferred:

  • Experience selling into Healthcare, HealthTech, or EdTech markets
  • Familiarity with Graduate Medical Education (GME), residency programs, ACGME dynamics, or professional medical societies
  • Experience selling AI-powered SaaS platforms
  • Existing relationships within academic medicine or GME leadership networks
  • Proficiency with modern sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, etc.)

You will excel in this role if you are entrepreneurial, mission-driven, and energized by building a new category — not just selling within one.
