Director of Program Management
Position Summary The Director of Program is accountable for enterprise execution across both program and project levels, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into the right work and delivered with measurable results. This role owns the intake, prioritization, and governance of initiatives, ensuring resources are focused on the highest-impact work aligned to company OKRs.
The Director sets the vision and strategy for the Program and Project Management Office (PgPMO), drives innovation in execution practices, and establishes enterprise standards, tools, and best practices. Success in this role is defined by clear priorities, disciplined execution, achieved OKRs, and a scalable delivery organization that consistently produces business outcomes.

Objectives
- Define and execute the enterprise program and project management strategy with measurable success criteria
- Establish and evolve the future-state Program & Project Management Office (PgPMO) that deliver strategic value and measurable outcomes across the organization
- Own and manage initiative intake, prioritization, and sequencing to ensure focus on highest-value work
- Ensure all programs and projects are aligned to strategic priorities and enterprise OKRs
- Set and govern OKR operating cadence, planning, tracking, and review
- Establish organization-wide standards, tools, templates, and best practices for program and project management
- Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation across programs and projects
- Identify and manage cross-initiative risks, dependencies, and constraints
- Build and sustain a community of practice for Program and Project Managers
- Ensure alignment with Cardone Ventures entities and adherence to the CV Way of doing business
- Drives alignment by developing best practices, templates, and performance metrics, ensuring consistent execution, improved efficiency, and scalability across all projects.
- Instill a sense of urgency, setting clear milestones, and promoting a collaborative work environment, they drive teams to consistently deliver results that align with the organization’s strategic vision.
- Ensure transparent and accountable communication, documentation, and standards that enhances stakeholder trust and engagement
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:
- Set the vision and roadmap for the PgPMO, including innovation, scalability, and maturity growth
- Define what success looks like for both program and project execution and measure performance against it
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage Program and Project Managers against outcome-based goals
- Evaluate new initiatives through structured intake to assess value, effort, and alignment
- Partner with executive leadership to recommend priorities, tradeoffs, and sequencing of work
- Translate strategy into executable programs and projects with clear ownership and success metrics
- Establish and enforce governance, decision-making frameworks, and accountability standards
- Ensure consistent adoption of approved tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Provide executive-level visibility into program and project health, risks, and OKR progress
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the delivery community
- Proactively remove blockers and escalate risks that threaten outcomes
COMPETENCIES
- Proven ability to lead both program and project management at an enterprise level
- Experience designing and managing intake and prioritization models
- Demonstrated success driving OKR execution and achievement
- Strong people leadership with a coaching and development mindset
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational rigor
- Data-driven decision-maker focused on outcomes and performance metrics
- Clear, concise executive communicator
- Proficiency with program and project management tools (e.g., Asana)
- Strong writing skills to prepare clear and concise documentation, standards, and other related communications.
Education And Experience
- Master’s Degree is preferred.
- PMP Certification Preferred
- 7+ years of experience leading Program and Project Management functions or PMOs
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- This position will require travel – up to 15%
