Director of Operations
Benji is conducting a retained search for a Director of Operations to join a fast-growing, performance-driven marketing agency. This is an on-site leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, designed for a strategic operator ready to scale a high-impact team to the next level.
The Scale
Our client is an established agency currently managing 60+ brands with a team of 25 employees . With 40%+ growth projected this year, they are investing in high-level operations to ensure they scale sustainably and profitably.
- Location: North County San Diego (On-site)
- Compensation: $125k–$145k Base | $160k–$180k OTE
- Team: Hybrid (On-site collaboration in SD + distributed remote delivery teams)
The Mission
- Standardize workflows across onboarding, delivery, and client services.
- Build KPI dashboards for capacity, utilization, and client health.
- Improve resource planning and gross margin predictability.
- Mentor team leads and free up the CEO’s bandwidth for high-level strategy.
- Own the tech stack and optimize tools like HubSpot and project management software.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of operations leadership in a digital marketing or service-based environment.
- You manage through numbers – margins, and KPIs are your second language.
- Experience managing hybrid teams and a track record of improving process efficiency.
- You communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and enjoy working closely with a CEO.
