Title: Director of Business Development
Locations only: California, Florida, Carolinas, Georgia, Atlanta and Chicago (remote office hours)
Salary: $60,000 — $100,000 base (commission potential of $100k+ in first year)
Overview
We are seeking a driven individual to support the growth of a commercial real estate services firm specializing in valuation, assessment, and advisory solutions in the locations above. This role focuses on developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding services within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the firm’s commercial real estate valuation, due diligence, and advisory services within the assigned territory
- Travel regularly to meet with prospective and existing clients
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person presentations
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, investors, lenders, attorneys, and other industry professionals
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of leads and opportunities in CRM systems
- Prepare and present service proposals and pricing
- Promote services including appraisals, environmental assessments, property condition reports, feasibility studies, and advisory solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with internal teams to support business development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5 years of sales or business development experience within the commercial real estate sector
- Experience with proactive prospecting and relationship-based sales
- Strong sales track record of hitting and exceeding quotas
- Strong communication and organisational skills
The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who can convert prospect engagement into long-term partnerships, support cross-selling across multiple service lines, and collaborate closely with regional leadership and client management teams to expand market presence.
