SOME So Others Might Eat exists to help homeless and poor individuals and families in Washington DC Our more than 30 programs throughout the district provide comprehensive services that lead to mental and physical health continued sobriety job training living wage employment and affordable housing We meet immediate needs with food clothing and healthcare and offer the tools one needs to live with hope dignity and greater independence SOME So Others Might Eat is seeking a full time Development Systems & Reporting Manager to support our Development department Compensation We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture mission and core values The salary range for this position is 7864400 to 8317296 and may be commensurate with experience Position Description The Development Systems & Reporting Manager supports the operational integrity usability and effectiveness of Development technology systems This role is responsible for maintaining CRM data quality supporting reporting infrastructure producing lists and providing user training and documentation to ensure consistent system utilization Primarily internal facing this position ensures Development staff have access to reliable data accurate reporting and clearly defined processes that support fundraising stewardship and communications initiatives The Development Systems & Reporting Manager reports to the Vice President Development Operations & Services and works in close collaboration with the Donor Database & Contributions Manager Schedule Monday Friday 800 am 430 pm the times can be somewhat flexible Telework may be permitted 2 days per week Must volunteer on morning of Thanksgiving Day occasional weekendholiday as needed Required Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; 35 years of experience in nonprofit development operations CRM administration or data management; Experience working with Salesforce Nonprofit CloudAgent force for Nonprofits preferred or a comparable CRM Preferred Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; 35 years of experience in nonprofit development operations CRM administration or data management; Experience supporting fundraising campaigns and segmentation; Familiarity with third party fundraising platforms; Experience developing user training materials; Familiarity with Relational Databases query languages eg SQL Required LicenseCertification NA Knowledge Skills and Abilities Highly detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skillsDemonstrated understanding of relational database structures and data management principlesStrong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a problem solving orientationEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearlyCommitment to excellent internal customer service and collaborative supportAbility to manage multiple deadlines during peak fundraising cyclesAbility to gather and document user requirementsComfortable working in a structured process driven environmentKnowledge of nonprofit fundraising operations donor lifecycle management and development workflowsKnowledge of CRMdatabase management principles including data governance data hygiene and record integrityExperience using ETL tools like Data LoaderUnderstanding of reporting structures data analytics concepts and performance metrics used in fundraising and stewardshipAbility to follow data privacy standards and confidentiality practices related to donor informationKnowledge of documentation practices and standard operating procedures for system use and process consistencyAbility to work independently while contributing to a technology teamUnderstanding of cross functional collaboration between Development Finance and Communications teamsExpected Contributions CRM Data Hygiene & Quality Control Monitor and maintain data integrity across Accounts and related recordsIdentify and resolve duplicate records using established protocolsPerform bulk record updates using ETL tools eg Data Loader Apsona when appropriateMaintain and document data standards ie naming conventions & formatting and best practicesConduct regular data audits to identify inconsistencies or gapsMonitor integrations with third party platforms and flags inconsistenciesSupport cleanup projects related to legacy data or system transitionsReporting & List Production & Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement Build and maintain reports and dashboards for end usersAssist end users in the production of segmented mailing lists for appeals events and stewardship initiativesMaintain campaign and campaign member data structure integrityValidate reporting outputs for accuracy and completenessSupport routine and ad hoc reporting requests from Development leadershipDocument SOPs related to reporting standards list pulls and data maintenance practicesIdentify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend practical improvementsSupport cross department data coordination where neededAssist in preparation for audit related data requestsRoutine Gift Acknowledgement Manage the processes by which routine gift acknowledgements are furnished to donors via third party platforms automated internal electronic processes or weekly mailings through and updates CRM records to reflect acknowledgementCoordinate with fundraising staff and vendors to ensure automated and bulk acknowledgement processes are properly scoped for inclusion and exclusion of giftsCoordinate with Marketing & Communications and Individual Philanthropy staff to ensure consistent and approved messaging in acknowledgementsUser Support Training & Systems Coordination & Administration Serve as first line CRM support for Development staffDevelop and delivers system trainingDevelop and maintain user guides and workflow documentationAssist users in understanding report logic and segmentation criteriaPromote consistent and responsible system usageAssists with testing configuration updates in sandbox environmentsElicits reporting and configuration requirements from end usersSupport implementation of approved system improvementsEnsure CRM record formats visibility and data architecture support business processes and end user needsEscalate complex configuration issues to the VP or
