Overview

We are seeking a US Citizen or Green Card holder (due to ITAR requirements) to support our PFS1 plant floor operations and maintain the associated code base. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing environments, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide 24x7x365 on-call and off-hour support. The ideal candidate will also bring software development experience, particularly in ANSI C and Fortran, with additional expertise in OpenVMS environments being highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7x365 support for PFS1 plant floor operations, including on-call and off-hour support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, performing root cause analysis to ensure long-term stability.
  • Collaborate with plant operations teams to maintain smooth production processes.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain PFS1 code base written in ANSI C and Fortran.
  • Utilize SQL and Oracle RDB for database management and reporting.
  • Document technical solutions, best practices, and support processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR requirement).
  • Based in Wichita, KS (onsite only).
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong manufacturing background.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Willingness to support plant floor operations around the clock.
  • Hands-on development experience in ANSI C and Fortran.

Desirable Skills (Preferred)

Experience with OpenVMS environment, including:

  • File editors: EDT or TPU
  • DCL scripting
  • FMS (Forms Management System)
  • Oracle RDB with SQL and SQL*Plus
  • Code Management: CMS, Linker, Compiler
