Job Description WHAT WE’RE DOING The MK48 Torpedo program seeks an Associate Program Manager who can execute the manufacturing work scope for a high‑visibility program; the ideal candidate will facilitate manufacturing execution with overall program timelines while monitoring critical‑path milestones and ensuring on‑time delivery of contractual end-items. They must proactively identify technical, supply‑chain, and quality risks while managing a cross-functional solution. A results‑oriented mindset with a strong bias for action is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with senior and functional leadership providing status reports, escalation briefs, and decision‑support documentation. Proven experience managing manufacturing scope in defense or aerospace, strong analytical problem‑solving skills, and the capacity to lead and influence without authority are required to keep the MK48 Torpedo program on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality expectations.
THE WORK Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Executing MK48 program priorities
- Executing new business activities including proposals
- Coordinating program activities across the enterprise functions
- Cost Account Management
- Managing and supporting Government Furnished Equipment
- Managing a cross functional team across multiple LM sites
- Working with subcontracts to manage key suppliers that have significant scope and impact

- 5+ years of project management such as deputy PM, CAM, Subcontracts PM, etc
- Knowledge and/or experience with manufacturing processes
- Experience with working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with USN customers
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with track record of presenting to internal and external customers
- Demonstrated maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results
