Deep Learning Applications Data Scientist – REMOTE
Summary As a member of the Data Science Center of Expertise (DSCOE), the Data Science Senior Advisor is responsible for leading and enabling initiatives across the enterprise for the Clinical Data Science team. The candidate will have demonstrable aptitude in Data Science, Technical Skills, Leadership, Scoping & Impact, and Ability to Influence.This role will support high-value enterprise-wide initiatives such as the development and operationalization of transformer based deep learning models trained on health insurance data sources.Responsibilities Support high-value enterprise Data Science initiativesAct as a subject matter expert (SME) in the area of deep learningCreates data science specific project goals associated with project deliverablesCommunicate with stakeholders to identify opportunities, goals, solutions, timeline changes and rationaleDevelop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with technical and business matrix partnersIndependently delivers clear and well-developed presentations for both technical and business audiencesMentor and champion junior Data Science team members via established development programs and on a project-by-project basisQualifications Strong proficiency in Machine Learning and Statistical Methodology and PracticesStrong proficiency in Python, SQL and version control (e.g., Git)Theoretical and practical deep learning expertise building and deploying deep learning models in an enterprise environmentProficiency with TensorFlow and/or PyTorchThorough understanding of ML lifecycle, including necessary tradeoffs and associated risksAbility to promote best coding practices, championing a culture of documentationAbility to own a project end-to-end e.g., scoping, business value estimation, ideation, dev, prod, timelineAbility to work and influence cross functionally with technical and non-technical partners to implement solutions with measurable valueHealth care data (e.g., claims, EHR) knowledge preferredIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 131,200 – 218,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.At The Cigna Group, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, with a focus on supporting your whole health.
