Data Solutions Architect – Managed Services – Boston

Requirements

Must have:

– Proven experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure Analytics, including the ability to fine-tune and troubleshoot performance issues. – In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services related to data management, computing, storage, networking, and integration. – Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. – Strong skills in SQL for debugging and optimizing queries. – Experience with monitoring solutions, incident management, capacity planning, and ensuring environment stability. – Previous consulting experience working directly with external clients.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor, and enhance customer data platforms in diverse cloud environments. – Drive improvements in cost efficiency, performance, scalability, and reliability across Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and similar ecosystems. – Utilize strong financial operations and IT operational skills to ensure platform stability and efficiency. – Develop, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines for data and platform deployments. – Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate provisioning and ensure environmental consistency. – Implement effective monitoring, alerting, runbook maintenance, and incident management practices. – Lead or assist in migrations, integrations, and modernization initiatives for cloud data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed systems. – Assess and deploy platform features and enhancements to meet customer business objectives. – Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on best practices, identifying risks, and facilitating continuous platform evolution. – Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and predictable outcomes.
