About The Role We are seeking a focused and reliable Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our administrative and health records department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our medical records and patient data from a remote setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Your primary duties will include entering, verifying, and updating patient information within our database systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to healthcare operations while working from the comfort of your home.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certification in health information management is a plus
  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably within healthcare or medical records management
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and database management software
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update patient and medical information into our database systems
  • Review and verify records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Organize and maintain digital files and health records databases efficiently
  • Cross-check source documents to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies promptly in coordination with internal teams
  • Generate and submit data reports as required by management
  • Handle all patient information with strict confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Meet daily and weekly data entry targets and accuracy benchmarks while working remotely
  • Assist in process improvements related to data management and record keeping
