customer in Chantilly VA Todays intelligence environment generates massive volumes of structured and unstructured data from increasingly diverse sources Turning that data into actionable information requires scalable pipelines resilient platforms and engineers who understand how to transform complex datasets into usable mission relevant information In this role you will design build and maintain data pipelines and platforms that enable analysts developers and mission users to access and derive value from disparate datasets You will work within a collaborative cross functional Agile team to develop scalable data solutions supporting critical national security missions Location Chantilly VA Work Environment On site Clearance Required Active TSSCI with Polygraph What Youll Do Design develop and maintain software solutions for retrieving parsing transforming and processing structured and unstructured dataBuild and maintain scalable ETLELT pipelines and workflows supporting analytics reporting and mission applicationsDevelop scripts services and applications that convert diverse data sources into usable and standardized formatsDesign and support scalable data platforms capable of ingesting processing storing and delivering large volumes of informationWork closely with analysts developers data engineers and data consumers to understand mission requirements and translate them into technical solutionsSupport the assessment design development implementation monitoring and maintenance of data platformsDevelop solutions using programming languages such as Python SQL Scala or JavaUse modern version control and collaborative software development practices with tools such as GitLab GitHub or BitbucketTroubleshoot data quality ingestion processing and performance issues across complex data environmentsParticipate in Agile engineering activities technical discussions design reviews and continuous improvement effortsSupport the scalability reliability monitoring and operation of mission data platformsRequired Qualifications 5 years of experience developing software used to retrieve parse process or transform structured and unstructured data3 years of experience developing solutions using Python SQL Scala or Java3 years of experience designing or developing scalable ETLELT workflows supporting analytics or reportingExperience developing technical solutions within a collaborative cross functional team environmentExperience using version control tools such as GitLab GitHub or BitbucketExperience developing scripts or applications that transform multiple data types into usable formatsAbility to support the scaling monitoring operation and maintenance of data platformsAbility to work on site in Chantilly VAActive TSSCI clearance with PolygraphHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to obtain Security Certification within 30 days of start dateAble and willing to train on Snowflakeobtain Snowflake certification at employer costPreferred Qualifications Experience working in UNIX or Linux environments including basic commands and Shell scriptingExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform GCPExperience with distributed data processing or computing technologies such as Spark Databricks Hadoop Hive AWS EMR or KafkaExperience developing or supporting real time data or streaming applicationsExperience implementing or supporting NoSQL databases including MongoDB or CassandraHands on experience with DatabricksExperience with data warehousing technologies such as AWS Redshift MySQL or SnowflakeExperience working within Agile engineering environmentsBachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related technical disciplineCurrent
