Data Analyst
Requirements
Must have:
– Proven background using business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to build dashboards and reporting outputs. – Strong command of SQL for query handling, database architecture, and data extraction from SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems. – Practical experience with ETL workflows, ideally with Talend, plus exposure to scripting languages such as Python or VBA. – Working knowledge of SDLC practices and experience supporting software development lifecycle analysis for analytics initiatives. – Ability to carry out advanced Excel-based analysis, along with experience using R or comparable statistical tools. – Familiarity with database design fundamentals and linked data concepts for combining multiple datasets. – Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex business needs into clear technical solutions. – Experience operating in Agile environments while balancing several priorities at once. – Excellent communication skills for requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and presenting insights effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports across reporting tools to highlight key performance indicators and trends. – Design, refine, and support SQL database structures and data models to improve storage and retrieval efficiency. – Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources using ETL tools and scripting methods to support analytics work. – Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify needs, define project scope, and deliver insights that shape business decisions. – Perform detailed data analysis in Excel, R, and other analytical tools to uncover patterns, exceptions, and process improvement opportunities. – Support the SDLC by evaluating requirements, testing solutions, and helping maintain quality throughout project delivery. – Develop and tune SQL queries within database platforms to enable accurate reporting and fast data access. – Contribute in Agile project settings by organizing work effectively and adapting to changing business priorities. – Produce clear documentation, including data flow diagrams, to explain data processes and system structure.
