About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Customer Support Specialist to join our remote team, supporting our extensive five-state franchise. This role is crucial in providing exceptional after-hours customer service by handling incoming calls efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will reside near Columbus, OH for in-office training but will primarily work remotely. The position involves managing patient and client inquiries during various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, on a rotating schedule. The Customer Support Specialist acts as the first point of contact, ensuring a positive experience for patients, families, and healthcare providers. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment
- Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in computer software and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with changing priorities
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
- Willingness to travel to Worthington, OH for initial training
Responsibilities
- Actively listen and probe callers to understand the purpose of each call in a professional manner
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat
- Provide friendly, thorough, and effective customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Resolve customer issues by clarifying concerns, identifying causes, and explaining solutions
- Manage sensitive personal health information (PHI) in compliance with organizational policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve positive outcomes and foster teamwork
- Maintain flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Participate in training sessions and adhere to scheduled hours, primarily during daytime for initial training
