About The Role This remote Customer Service Representative position is based in Texas, offering the flexibility to work from home within commutable distance to our Fort Worth office located at 300 Burnett Street. The role involves handling inbound customer inquiries related to healthcare services, benefits, and account information. You will be responsible for answering 75-100 calls daily, identifying customer needs, and providing accurate information or guidance to resolve issues efficiently. The position requires active listening, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex computer systems to research and resolve customer concerns. Training will be provided on the job, with hours aligned to your schedule, and the role demands flexibility to work any shift within our operational hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm CST, including one Saturday shift per month. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service, administrative, clerical, or related environment using phones and computers
  • Proficiency with computer applications and Windows-based systems
  • Ability to work a Saturday shift once a month
  • Previous experience working as a contractor at UnitedHealth Group or its subsidiaries is preferred
  • Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm CST

Responsibilities

  • Handle 75-100 incoming customer calls daily, accurately identifying the nature of each inquiry
  • Ask relevant questions and actively listen to understand customer issues and needs
  • Document all interactions and relevant information in the computer systems accurately and thoroughly
  • Research complex issues across multiple databases and collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated concerns
  • Provide clear, courteous, and empathetic assistance to customers, ensuring a positive experience
  • Follow company protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and quality standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals
