About The Role The Customer Service Representative at CorVel plays a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between clients, providers, and internal teams. This remote position involves addressing inquiries via email, fax, telephonic, or written correspondence, while strictly adhering to contractual agreements, state regulations, and client instructions. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of workers’ compensation fee schedules and healthcare regulations. The Customer Service Representative will review provider histories, consult with supervisors or other departments as needed, and maintain accurate reports and spreadsheets to support efficient operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes customer satisfaction, accuracy, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience within the Managed Care and Benefit Administration industries
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation fee schedules and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Medical terminology and coding knowledge is preferred
  • Reliable internet upload and download speeds of at least 80Mbps

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client, provider, and internal inquiries via phone, email, fax, or written correspondence promptly and professionally
  • Review and analyze provider histories in systems such as MedCheck, Scheck, and SalesCloud
  • Coordinate with supervisors or other departments to clarify and resolve complex inquiries
  • Contact providers directly to discuss findings and gather additional information as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and spreadsheets to track interactions and resolutions
  • Adhere to contractual, state, and client-specific guidelines in all communications and actions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational efficiency
