Job Description

** EMIT Learning ** is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work on our school campus in Burbank, CA , for the 2025-26 school year.

** No. of positions:** 3

SET needed in Burbank, CA

** Age Group:** All

** Start:** ASAP

** End date:** June 2026 (Possible extension)

** Total hours:** 35 – 40 hours per week (will include 30-minute unpaid lunch)

** **Required License/Certification: ****Mild/Mod;Mod/Sev and ECSE (Must have)

** 1. Mild to Moderate Credentialed Special Education Teacher, Middle School*
* Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Develop and manage IEPs
  • Collaborate with general education staff and families
  • Monitor progress and maintain required documentation

** Qualifications:**

  • Valid California Mild to Moderate Education Specialist Credential
  • Middle school special education experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management and organization skills

** 2. Moderate to Severe Credentialed Special Education Teacher, Elementary School*
* Responsibilities:**

  • Provide academic and functional instruction to elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs
  • Support behavior, communication, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with therapists, aides, and families

** Qualifications:**

  • Valid California Moderate to Severe Education Specialist Credential
  • Elementary special education experience preferred
  • Strong instructional planning and behavior management skills

** 3. ECSE Credentialed Special Education Teacher, Preschool*
* Responsibilities:**

  • Provide early childhood special education instruction to preschool students
  • Develop and implement IEPs focused on early development
  • Support communication, social, and developmental goals
  • Collaborate with families and early intervention teams

** Qualifications:**

  • Valid California Early Childhood Special Education Credential required
  • Preschool special education experience preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and intervention strategies
