Maxed is a social fitness app built for people who actually train. We combine AI-powered workout tracking with real-time weight and rep recommendations, performance scoring, and deep integrations with WHOOP, Oura, and Garmin. Users get workout receipts with volume breakdowns, personal records, estimated 1RMs, and muscle balance insights. Our community features let gym crews compete on leaderboards, share workouts, and hold each other accountable. We’re early-stage, growing fast, and building the product athletes and gym-goers actually want.

The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Lead Intern who lives and breathes video editing and graphic design. This is not a “schedule tweets and write captions” role. You will be the person behind the camera, in the timeline, and on the canvas — producing the short-form video content, motion graphics, and visual assets that drive Maxed’s growth across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

You’ll own the entire creative pipeline: concepting, shooting/sourcing footage, editing, designing thumbnails and static posts, and iterating based on performance. You’ll study what’s working on fitness TikTok, replicate winning formats, and adapt them for Maxed. Speed and volume matter — we need someone who can turn around polished edits fast and isn’t precious about shipping.

This role is compensated with equity in Maxed. There is no cash compensation. For the right person, this is a path to Head of Marketing as the company scales — you’d be building the creative engine from the ground floor with a real stake in what we’re building.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit short-form video content daily — TikToks, Reels, Shorts. Fast cuts, trending audio, captions, transitions. You should be fluent in the language of short-form.
  • Create graphic design assets — social posts, app store screenshots, pitch deck visuals, promotional materials. Clean, modern, on-brand.
  • Produce motion graphics and screen recordings — animated app demos, feature walkthroughs, score reveal videos, UI showcases.
  • Study and replicate winning content formats — we’ll hand you a playbook of viral formats. Your job is to make Maxed versions that hit.
  • Brief and direct UGC creators — write scripts, provide visual references, review edits, and manage a network of creators producing content for us.
  • Build and manage a content calendar — plan, batch-produce, and publish across all platforms.
  • Iterate based on data — track what performs, double down on winners, kill what doesn’t work.
