Creative / Art Director
About the Opportunity:
The organization provides fresh, whole-food nutrition products for pets, formulated by veterinarians and made with human-grade ingredients. This role seeks a digitally fluent, commercially minded Creative Director or Art Director to lead creative strategy and execution across the digital ecosystem, elevating the brand presence, especially in digital and performance channels, to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities:
• Own creative strategy and execution for product content and product detail page imagery across the organization’s website and digital retail partners
• Partner with Brand Management to translate product information into clear, persuasive, conversion-oriented visual storytelling
• Collaborate with Growth, Ecommerce, and Analytics teams to test and improve product detail page performance
• Establish scalable product detail page frameworks, templates, and best practices
• Translate business briefs into clear creative workplans with assets, timelines, and feedback checkpoints
• Develop high-impact creative with the website team across homepage storytelling, landing pages, and promotional modules
• Ensure alignment between paid traffic, on-site storytelling, and conversion goals
• Support creative consistency and execution across wholesale partners such as Amazon and Chewy brand stores
• Act as a creative thought partner for brand and marketing campaigns, translating ideas into full-funnel creative systems
• Collaborate with external agencies while maintaining strong internal creative ownership
• Lead photo and video shoots for product and marketing content development
• Support Growth team in paid creative across paid social, digital video/CTV, and select offline placements
• Develop concepts and modular creative systems to increase testing velocity and learning
• Balance performance needs with long-term brand integrity
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two designers
• Provide clear creative direction, prioritization, and actionable feedback
• Remain hands-on in high-impact areas, especially digital and paid creative
Requirements:
• 8 to 12 years of creative experience with meaningful hands-on execution
• Proven results driving growth at challenger or high-growth brands
• Deep understanding of digital-first and performance-oriented creative
• Experience working with small teams and limited resources in fast-paced environments
• Strong creative judgment and commercial instincts
• Demonstrated ability to partner closely with Growth and Brand teams
• Experience managing and collaborating with external agencies
• Comfortable working in regulated or claim-sensitive categories
• Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience preferred
• Results-driven mindset focused on impact
Compensation:
• Salary range: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually
