Controls Engineer (Process Controls & Manufacturing)

OverviewEgan Company is actively seeking a talented and motivated Controls Engineer to join our Process & Manufacturing Controls team in Champlin Minnesota In this dynamic role you will play a key part in delivering high quality automated control solutions to a diverse range of industrial clients across manufacturing process and related sectors You will be responsible for designing programming implementing and servicing sophisticated automated controls systems from concept through commissioning and ongoing support Working closely with project teams and directly with clients you will translate process requirements into reliable efficient and safe control architectures using PLCs HMIs SCADA systems industrial networks and related automation hardware and software This position offers the opportunity to work on varied projects troubleshoot complex systems in the field optimize performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive client success and operational excellence If you are passionate about industrial automation enjoy hands on problem solving and thrive in a client service oriented environment we invite you to bring your expertise to our growing team in the Twin Cities area This role could also be a Hybrid role so working in the office and at home ResponsibilitiesMaintain proactive customer contact throughout the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning and post support ensuring alignment clear communication and exceptional satisfactionDesign and engineer industrial process control systems by integrating new and legacy hardware and software to deliver reliable scalable solutions tailored to client needsTroubleshoot maintain and repair existing control systems onsite or remotely to diagnose issues quickly and minimize downtimeProgram configure and debug PLCs HMIs SCADA systems servos VFDs and networks with strong emphasis on RockwellAllen Bradley platforms and exposure to others like Siemens or IgnitionWork independently within your expertise to deliver high quality solutions on time and within scope while collaborating effectively with teams vendors and clientsApply UL 508A standards for control panel design layout component selection wiring and documentation to ensure safety and regulatory complianceSupport sales by developing technical solutions and proposals that address client requirements demonstrate value and enhance operational efficiencyRequirementsBachelors of Engineering degree or equivalent design and programming experienceA minimum of 5 7 years experience in related fields In depth expertise with Rockwell Automation platforms highly preferred; familiarity with Siemens Schneider Wonderware Ignition or similar is a plusStrong knowledge of PLCHMISCADA programming servo and VFD configuration industrial networking protocols electrical schematics and panel layoutsUnderstanding of UL 508A control panel standards and industrial control componentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required;
