Job Overview The Consultant, Alfa Accounting is responsible for the accounting processes associated with the consumer loan and lease portfolio (ALFA portfolio system), Dealer Reserve, Funding Clearing, IBIS and Residual Risk activities for US, CA and MX.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, coordinate and align with the Alfa operations team all technical system activities related to the accounting for the consumer loan and lease portfolio.
- Supporting team members investigations into differences related to the initiation, recognition, measurement and termination of consumer loan and leasing contracts.
- Provide in-depth analysis and reporting for ad-hoc request for internal and external business partners.
- Support, consult and train the Alfa accounting team and other business partners in understanding the business process impacting accounting related to the consumer loan and lease portfolio.
- Analyze the accounting impact of related code changes, test Alfa representing Accounting in system upgrades or changes to interfaces.
- Assist the business and accounting bridge the understanding of Alfa system processing errors and assist the business in processing transactions properly in Alfa while ensuring proper accounting treatment.
- Initiate, perform, analyze and complete system testing for continuous process improvements, company initiatives, audit requirements and ICS.
Qualifikationen
Qualifications This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience: 5 years in Accounting, 5 and/or 5 years in Finance.
Preferred Experience and Majors includes:
- Accounting
- Finance
- External Public Accounting experience
- Auditing & Internal Controls
Additional Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of Alfa systems and/or other portfolio and related systems and their interfaces
- Proficient at analyzing, multi-tasking, and working effectively with time constraints.
- Ability to work with cross functional groups and provide respective accounting guidance
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of accounting including the recording and reporting of financial transactions as well as, the origination, its recognition and processing specific to the consumer loan and lease business
- Understanding of internal controls and applicable ICS and Audit compliance activities
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA or other) a plus
