About the Community We are an innovative new town that sets a completely new standard for sustainable responsible growth Our community combines the best of Americas great hometown traditions with all the conveniences of today and tomorrow From the largest solar plus storage system operating in the US today the expansive public green spaces and trails to the gigabyte of fiber optic connectivity standard to every home and free Wi Fi everywhere you may roam it is a place where families can benefit from the most advanced technologies then walk out their doors to reconnect with nature and neighbors We have a very robust Lifestyle program hosting numerous lifestyle events annually This will be a part time limited term assignment We will partner with the student and college to review hoursschedule expectations The Communications Intern supports the Communications Department by assisting with content creation event coverage and administrative tasks This position provides hands on experience in community communications marketing and digital media Key Responsibilities Content Assistance Assist in creating graphics and visual content using Canva with an emphasis on creative design branding consistency and visual storytellingDemonstrate the ability to go beyond basic functionality by producing engaging polished and on brand materialsSupport the preparation of communication draftsEvent Support Attend community events to assist with photography video or social media coverage Help capture content for future marketing and promotional use Digital Support Help organize media files including photos and videos Support the creation of reels or short form video content Administrative Tasks Assist with organizing communication files and archives Support general communications projects assigned by the Communications Director LEARNING OBJECTIVES Familiarity with HOA operations systems and governance processesExperience supporting community engagement initiatives and eventsDevelopment of professional communication and organizational skillsUnderstanding of compliance procedures and community standardsExposure to administrative workflows resident services practices and operational planningPotential academic credit subject to school approvalFlexible scheduling available to accommodate class commitmentsConsideration for extended internship or future employment based on performancePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements can vary but generally they may include Ability to walk stand or sit for extended periods during site visits meetings or office tasksCapability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds eg event supplies signage small equipmentComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb stairs and navigate multi level properties or facilitiesManual dexterity to operate computers phones and office equipmentVisual and auditory acuity to observe property conditions read documents and communicate effectivelyMust maintain a valid drivers license when travel is necessary Please note If driving is part of your job we will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving statusWe are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible work environment If you require reasonable accommodations during the application process or in performing the job duties as described in the posting please email talentccmcnetcom so we can review next steps together
