SUMMARY The Quality Support Technician serves to support the operations team by providing and performing a detailed and thorough inspection and cleaning of the repaired vehicle prior to release to the customer This role will also serve to assist shop operations by performing a variety of tasks associated with maintenance of the shop location including cleaning and organizing various pieces of equipment and tools ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customerVisually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area Promptly notify the General Manager or assigned technician should any defects or issues be found upon inspectionResponsible for assisting in the general maintenance of shop location and outside groundsInspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standardsMay serve to ensure that test equipment is calibrated and working correctlyConsistently utilizes all required safety equipment adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal and participate in monthly safety meetingsMaintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and returns tools materials and equipment to designated areasIdentifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processesPerform any cleaning activities such as mopping dusting sweeping as well as collecting and emptying trash cans daily Service clean and supply any items in restroomsMake minor repairs when necessary such as changing a light bulb QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers License and good driving record is necessaryPrior experience in automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required Excellent verbal communication and mechanical skills Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment Willingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations teamAbility to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle This position description is intended to be dynamic and subject to change Position requirements and essential functions may be altered from time to time based upon the needs of the organization and department This position may be required to execute special projects or other related duties on occasion
