MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.
MMIC Application Engineering Co-op Application Engineering is a fast-paced team, solving technical problems for customers. We work together to get data in the lab, analyze information for the customers, create technical presentations, update datasheets, post technical information on the web, and assemble information to support both customers and other MACOM teams.
Specific Tasks: A co-op will get training to help the team with:
- Lab measurement techniques for RF & Microwave devices, including using a network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meter, and other instruments.
- Processing data using tools such as Keysight ADS, Minitab, Python, MATLAB, and other tools
- Help with automated lab setups. This could involve helping with python automation scripts.
- Lookup information in our documentation system to answer basic customer questions.
- Attend some design reviews to learn about cross-functional engineering teams
- Help with details pertaining to customer meetings or requests.
A co-op experience with the applications team at MACOM offers real-world learning and technical experience with radio frequency(RF), microwave(uW) and millimeter-wave(MMW) products.
