Major Duties

• Interpret engineering documents for required finish, tolerance and positioning.
• Determine equipment and set-up to be used to achieve desired results.
• Write CNC programs.
• Fabricate components using CNC machining center tools.
• Machine various tooling components to very close tolerances indicated on drawings.
• Work with various inspection tools to verify final results and record results as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practices.
• Keep work area clean.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
• Assist Fabrication and Machine Builders as needed, including the fabrication & installation of machine guarding.
• Follow Work Instructions and maintain Checklists/Records when required.
• Maintain departmental goals in keeping with company objectives.
• Recommend improvements in order to facilitate company growth.
• Assist with minor machine/tooling repairs as requested.
• Maintain ISO13485 Certification requirements.
• Provide incoming parts’ inspection with emphasis on spare and service parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalency.

Experience:

• Five years’ minimum experience operating CNC & Programing with specific machining experience/skills.
• Good math skills.

Equipment:

• CNC with conversational programing.
• Various machines and hand tools including mill, lathe, grinding, etc.
• Inspection tools such as scales, micrometer, vernier, caliper, etc.
