We’re partnering with a mid-sized, product-driven technology company to identify a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead engineering and product into the next phase of scale and innovation.

This organization operates a diverse portfolio of SaaS products. With strong market traction and a focus on continued growth — including potential acquisitions — the company is seeking atechnically grounded leader to drive its technology vision forward.

The Opportunity

This is a highly strategic and operational leadership role for a CTO with deep software engineering roots who can also oversee product management and delivery. You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team and play a key role in shaping the company’s technology roadmap, scaling engineering practices, and aligning product innovation with business growth.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical depth, product intuition, and business acumen, with the ability to operate at both the architectural and executive levels.

What You’ll Do

Technology Leadership & Vision

  • Define and execute the company’s technology and product strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Drive innovation across a multi-product ecosystem (SaaS, mobile, and connected systems)
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on technical direction and investment priorities

Engineering & Product Leadership

  • Lead and scale a cross-functional team across Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product
  • Foster a culture of high-quality engineering, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end product development — from concept through delivery and iteration

Modernization & Architecture

  • Own the technical roadmap, balancing new development with modernization of legacy systems
  • Champion modern development best practices (cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices, CI/CD)
  • Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with long-term growth

Cloud & Infrastructure Optimization

  • Oversee cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar) with a strong focus on:
  • Performance and scalability
  • Cost optimization and cloud spend efficiency
  • Drive improvements in DevOps, automation, and deployment pipelines

AI & Emerging Technology

  • Stay ahead of trends in AI/ML and intelligent systems, identifying opportunities to enhance products and internal operations
  • Guide the organization in adopting practical, value-driven AI initiatives

M&A & Growth Enablement

  • Support technical due diligence and integration for acquisitions
  • Help evaluate build vs. buy decisions and ensure smooth post-acquisition technology integration

Operational Excellence

  • Implement structure across engineering processes, sprint planning, and release management
  • Establish metrics and systems to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery
  • Manage budgets, vendors, and technology investments

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success as a CTO
  • 10 years of progressive experience in technology leadership, including 5 years leading engineering organizations
  • Strong foundation as a software engineer or architect — must be technically credible
  • Experience overseeing both engineering and product management functions
  • Proven success building and scaling multi-product software platforms (SaaS, mobile, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices (cloud-native, APIs, microservices, CI/CD)
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure and optimizing cost at scale
  • Exposure to or experience with AI/ML-driven products or initiatives
  • Experience supporting M&A, technical due diligence, or system integrations is a strong plus
  • Track record of improving engineering processes, delivery predictability, and team performance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills — able to influence at both the technical and executive levels
