Chief Software Engineering Manager
Requirements
Must have:
– Over 10 years of leadership experience in software development with an emphasis on government contracting and services – Proven ability to manage technical teams and successfully deliver projects – At least 5 years of experience with budget responsibilities – Minimum of 3 years providing technical software development guidance for capture and business development efforts – Comprehensive knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on methodologies like Agile and DevOps – Understanding of government regulations and compliance standards in software development and cybersecurity – Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively – Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities with a strategic outlook – Experience in budget management and resource allocation
Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement the technology vision and strategy for Tapestry, ensuring it aligns with overall business goals and government mandates – Foster innovation in software development techniques, methodologies, and technologies to enhance our product offerings and service delivery – Lead the identification of technical requirements and manage resource distribution in support of capture activities, including proposal creation and solution design – Supervise the design, execution, and upkeep of our IT infrastructure to ensure it supports the software development lifecycle and meets the organizations operational needs – Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies to safeguard sensitive government data and ensure adherence to federal regulations – Guide and mentor a team of software engineers, IT specialists, and technical personnel, nurturing a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance – Collaborate with government and commercial clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to comprehend their needs and translate these into technical solutions – Manage the technology budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and vendor relationships to support developmental initiatives, IT operations, and infrastructure requirements – Keep informed about industry advancements, emerging technologies, and competitive insights to identify growth and innovation opportunities in software and IT services – Recognize potential risks related to technology initiatives and devise strategies to mitigate these risks – Provide developmental opportunities for employees and mid-level managers
