Chief Growth Officer

Iroko is seeking a Chief Growth Officer to lead our fundraising, buyer engagement, and market development efforts as we scale credible, financeable carbon-financed reforestation projects across Africa. This role requires a proven track record in carbon markets, project finance, or climate technology sales, with the strategic vision to build and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for large-scale reforestation projects.

You’ll work alongside the CEO to secure funding commitments, build relationships with VCM buyers, institutional donors, and family offices and establish Iroko’s presence in key carbon markets across Europe, the US, and Asia. This includes everything from cleaning up our CRM and conducting buyer research to pitching institutional investors and negotiating offtake agreements. You’ll be responsible for translating complex forestry science and community impact into compelling investment propositions that resonate with corporate buyers and project financiers.

This is an executive role for someone who can own the entire capital formation process – from market research and relationship building to deal structuring and closing. If you have experience selling ARR projects or similar climate assets, understand what drives VCM buyer decisions, and are ready to help prove that forest protection can be profitable at scale, this role offers significant equity upside and the opportunity to shape how institutional capital flows to African conservation.
