Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a professional, dependable, and highly organized Company/Personal Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for the President and CEO, occasionally other senior executives, and guests. This role also includes serving as a personal driver for the principal’s family, ensuring their transportation needs are met with the highest level of care, discretion, and professionalism.The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of local and regional routes, including New York City, the Hamptons, and surrounding areas. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves adapting to a dynamic schedule. This position requires exceptional driving skills, a strong commitment to confidentiality, and a polished, professional demeanor. You will collaborate closely with another driver to ensure seamless and efficient transportation.As a key support role, the Company/Personal Driver will coordinate closely with the Senior Executive Assistant to plan daily routes, manage time effectively, and ensure all transportation needs are met with discretion and reliability. Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, assisting with loading and unloading, and maintaining a clean and well-kept vehicle at all times.This position requires flexibility, punctuality, and a proactive attitude, with a strong emphasis on trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, employees, guests, or clients as assigned.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, using maps or GPS to determine the most efficient paths.
- Load and unload cargo or assist passengers with embarking, disembarking, and handling personal belongings.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform basic upkeep of the vehicle at all times.
- Ensure the fuel tank is full each night before parking the vehicle in its designated location.
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance or report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Pick up and deliver special requests or items as directed.
- Coordinate daily driving schedules with the Senior Executive Assistant and plan optimal routes in advance.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays to the Senior Executive Assistant.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver.
- Familiarity with GPS devices, local routes, and navigating NYC, the Hamptons, CT, upstate NY, and NJ.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks (e.g., bending, standing for extended periods).
- Excellent time management, punctuality, and dependable attendance.
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) in English.
- Comfortable using email, text, and phone for schedule updates (not while driving).
- Professional appearance: neat business or semi-casual attire, well-groomed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Flexible with hours: weekend/overnight travel may be required.
- Comfortable around pets.
- Familiarity with private and commercial airports and heliports.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge.
- Coordinate vacation time with the executive’s schedule.
- Review the next day’s schedule with the Senior Executive Assistant and plan routes accordingly.
- Ability to drive confidently in high-traffic urban environments.
