What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Schedule surgeries, appointments, and procedures at the request of physicians and customers
• Transcribe and scan all orders and health records into the electronic medical record
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility during patient “schegistration”
• Initiate medical necessity checks for surgeries, appointments, and procedures
• Maintain the master physician listing and assist with compliance and reimbursement processes

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma required
• One year of experience in a medical environment with scheduling duties strongly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology or prior Administrative Partner experience
• Professional and courteous manners in dealing with customers
• Computer experience required

• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with scheduling or administrative tasks
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
