What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Schedule surgeries, appointments, and procedures as requested by physicians and customers
• Transcribe and scan orders and health records into the electronic medical record
• Maintain scheduling-related work queues and assist with patient “schegistration”
• Verify insurance benefits and initiate medical necessity checks for procedures
• Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance and proper reimbursement for services

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical environment with scheduling duties preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology or prior administrative experience
• Strong professional and courteous communication skills with customers
• Proficient computer skills necessary for the role
