Description Per Diem & Full-time available. Hourly Wage Range: $19.05 – $29.70 depending on experience. Job Summary The Central Scheduler provides scheduling services for all clinic visits for Curry Health Network medical clinics. This department is also responsible for answering the main clinics’ phone line and directing patients as necessary.

Essential Functions Answers all incoming calls using proper phone etiquette, with ability to answer basic questions that may be asked by patients and community.

Obtains information from caller to be able to decipher whether patient needs to schedule an appointment or be transferred to a different department.

Ability to understand provider preferences and schedule appointment based upon provider template.

Able to use patient communications and Skype to share information with clinical staff regarding a patient phone call.

Ability to review provider schedules and fill open slots to ensure maximization of provider templates.

Minimum Job Requirements Education & Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year in office setting preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology and insurance preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Experience in a setting that required excellent customer service preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
