Job Summary Bay CSS is looking for a compassionate Direct Support Professional DSP to join our team in Annapolis MD The ideal candidate will provide care and support to individuals with disabilities in a Community Developmental Services CDS setting It is essential that the DSP has a valid drivers license with reliable transportation and car insurance as they may assist with transportation The position entails Monday to Friday shifts from 8 am to 4 pm with potential variations in hours due to transportation needs offering a rate of 21 per hour Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and patient attitude Ability to lift at least 50lbs Must pass a background check Willingness to attend and complete all required training Responsibilities Assist individuals with disabilities with daily living activities including bathing grooming and meal preparation Provide companionship and emotional support Implement and adhere to individualized care plans Monitor individuals progress and behaviors documenting as necessary Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members as needed If you are a caring individual with the necessary qualifications and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling opportunity
