About The Role The Chief Commercial Officer, Government Solutions (Medicare), will serve as the executive commercial leader driving Hippocratic AI’s growth within Medicare and CMS-administered programs. This role exists to establish Hippocratic AI as the trusted AI partner for Medicare Advantage plans, ACOs, and CMS innovation models — delivering safe, scalable AI solutions that improve health outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries.
You will own the full Medicare commercial strategy — from early payer and plan relationships through contracting, deployment, and long-term program expansion. This role sits at the intersection of Medicare policy, value-based care innovation, and AI, with particular focus on CMS programs including Medicare Advantage, ACOs, MSSP, and CMMI innovation models
What You’ll Do
- Government Growth Strategy — Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive adoption of Hippocratic AI’s solutions across Medicare Advantage plans, ACOs, and CMS-funded programs, with a focus on improving outcomes and reducing costs for Medicare beneficiaries.
- Executive Relationship Ownership — Cultivate and expand deep relationships with Medicare Advantage plan executives, ACO leaders, CMS and CMMI officials, health system payers, and strategic partners shaping the future of Medicare care delivery.
- Complex Deal Leadership — Lead high-stakes negotiations and contracting with Medicare Advantage plans, risk-bearing providers, and ACOs, structuring value-based agreements that align Hippocratic AI’s impact with payer and CMS performance goals.
- Mission-Aligned Solutioning — Collaborate with Product, Clinical, Engineering, and Legal teams to align Hippocratic AI’s solutions with Medicare regulatory requirements, CMS compliance standards, and the operational realities of Medicare payers and providers.
- Ecosystem & Partner Development — Build and expand strategic alliances with Medicare Advantage plans, health systems, ACOs, pharmacy benefit managers, and technology partners that strengthen Hippocratic AI’s Medicare go-to-market strategy.
- Policy & Market Intelligence — Stay current on Medicare policy, CMS rulemaking, STAR ratings, risk adjustment, and value-based care funding dynamics, translating insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Product Influence — Translate Medicare customer and payer needs into product roadmap input, ensuring Hippocratic AI continues to serve Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, and care teams with clinically relevant, compliant AI solutions.
- External Representation — Represent Hippocratic AI at Medicare industry forums, AHIP conferences, CMS stakeholder events, and ACO/MA leadership summits as a trusted advisor and advocate for safe, AI-enabled Medicare care improvement.
What You Bring
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Policy, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in healthcare commercial leadership, with significant experience in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or CMS-administered program markets.
- Proven success driving revenue growth and closing enterprise-level deals with Medicare Advantage plans, ACOs, health systems, or value-based care organizations.
- Deep understanding of the Medicare ecosystem, including Medicare Advantage, MSSP, CMMI models, Part D, risk adjustment, STAR ratings, and CMS regulatory frameworks.
- Extensive, trusted network of senior Medicare Advantage plan executives, CMS officials, ACO and health system leaders, and value-based care industry stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence, negotiation skills, and ability to influence decision-making within Medicare payer organizations, health systems, and CMS-affiliated bodies.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Clear alignment with Hippocratic AI’s mission and a demonstrated commitment to improving public health outcomes.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with CMMI innovation models, direct contracting entities, or CMS pilot programs.
- Experience selling or deploying AI, digital health, or remote patient monitoring solutions to Medicare payers or providers.
- Prior experience at a Medicare Advantage plan, ACO, or CMS contractor in a commercial or strategic leadership role.
- Clinical or managed care background (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, or care management) with understanding of Medicare quality metrics and outcomes.
- Experience in health equity or chronic disease management programs targeting Medicare-eligible populations.
- Startup or high-growth company experience in healthcare technology or digital health
Additional Notes
- This is a foundational C-suite leadership role in defining Hippocratic AI’s Medicare commercial strategy and establishing the company as a long-term partner to the Medicare ecosystem.
- Travel is expected to support payer engagement, CMS meetings, conferences such as AHIP and RISE, and industry events.
