- Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
- Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
- Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
- Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
- Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL’s, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
- Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
- Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
- Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
- Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
- Records Resident information as required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
- Notifies nurse, and/or designated agent(s) of Resident status/change as appropriate.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program with current license. 18 — 24 months experience in a similar position, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.EDUCATION: Attendance at mandatory in-service training. Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification. Meet in-service training hours required for job classification and position.
