What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide essential operational support and scheduling services to patients and their families
  • Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, and assist with scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling appointments
  • Maintain patient confidentiality while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical care team on behalf of the patient
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service consistent with the employer’s mission and service standards

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 6 months of office and/or call center, customer service, or healthcare experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Proven excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of appointment scheduling, insurance concepts, and patient registration software

  • Previous experience in a call center or healthcare customer service role
  • Knowledge of the employer’s system and providers
