Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing person to work in our cafe. Cafe worker and Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their food and coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons are welcomed into a friendly atmosphere, enjoy their food, drinks and time at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving people and working as a team member and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into the cafe with a smile

Take food and beverage orders

Prepare food and beverage orders

Explain the menu items to customers

Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex

Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency

Bus tables and wipe down surfaces

Kitchen prep work

Dishes and re-stock

Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring

Excellent customer service skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for extended periods
