Since 2018 Elevate Aircraft Seating has been enhancing the passenger experience through innovative aircraft seat design and manufacturing With locations in California Washington and Germany we are guided by creativity collaboration and a shared commitment to quality We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in Huntington Beach CA This is an on site position based in Huntington Beach CA We value teamwork inclusivity and continuous professional development and we offer competitive benefits along with opportunities for growth JOB SUMMARY The Buyer is responsible for acquiring goods and services at a competitive price with on time delivery and top quality via issuance of a purchase order The Buyer will assist more senior buyers and perform a range of activities associated with purchasing goods materials suppliers and services based on established quality standards availability requirements and price constraints SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES Essential Functions Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Make daily purchases within allotted programs based on requisitions and analyze the quality specifications and delivery requirementsSend out quotations for bid on non contracted items and negotiates best priceEnter purchase orders into system and issue to supplier via fax or e mailReview purchase orders on a weekly basis via reporting system and follows up on past due items plus requirements due in coming weeksHighlight any problem areas and reports to Purchasing DirectorInteract with Planning and Production to ensure any changes in production requirements are flowed down to suppliersGenerate effective communication good relationships and a positive image with suppliers and co workers promoting courtesy objectivity and fairnessLiaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffersReview Non Conformance Reports NCRs written against suppliers and relay such information to them and coordinate corrective action Update suppliers with engineering changes and drawingsReview supplier performanceLocate new suppliers if necessaryContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Maintain a safe secure and legal work environment adhering to all Company policies and procedures Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Companys information and products GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education Knowledge and Experience Education A High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredA Bachelors degree is desiredExperience Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidatesPreferred SkillsExperience Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Other Extended or irregular hours may be requiredMust be authorized to work in the United StatesElevate Aircraft Seating is an at will employer; employment is at the mutual consent of both the employee and the employer and may be terminated at will for any reason with or without cause at any time during employment with the CompanyAs business conditions warrant a change in the operating necessities of the Company all employees are expected to react productively handle other essential tasks assigned now or in the futureSUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed Receives detailed instructions as needed PROBLEM SOLVING Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writingCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work The base pay offered will vary depending on job related knowledge skills location experience and take into account internal equity Salary Range Transparency 82500 103000 annually Featured Benefits Up to 7 bonus potential for bonus eligible positionsGenerous 401K matching with immediate eligibility and vesting3 weeks of Paid Time Off12 paid holidaysAffordable health care plans for yourself and your familyAnd so much moreOther Perks On site gymFree electric car charging stationsPotential for growth within organizationSupportive workplace environment with a team oriented culture
