Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BI Engineer to support our business intelligence and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Python, Power BI, Snowflake, SQL and DAX, and can translate complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor and manage Power BI services, including security and user access management.
  • Model, transform, design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Write efficient DAX measures and calculated columns for advanced analytics and dynamic visuals.
  • Tune reports and data models for efficiency, scalability and reliable refreshes.
  • Design and support (Role Based Access Control) RBAC across semantic models.
  • Manage and troubleshoot data pipelines built using Python/R and SQL to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes into Snowflake.
  • Optimize Snowflake queries, manage data models, and ensure data accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and ensure consistency across reporting layers.
  • Document processes, data models, and transformation logic for transparency and governance.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and generate insights to guide business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.
  • Proficient in Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, version control and performance optimization) including experience with automation, testing, and deployment in a CI/CD environment.
  • Proficient in Python (for automation, data wrangling, and analytics libraries such as pandas, numpy).
  • Proficient in Snowflake (SQL scripting, schema design, query optimization).
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and KPI reporting.
  • Good understanding of statistics and basic ML like regression, classification and timeseries models.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and managing large datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficient with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and best practices.
  • Preferred Experience with APIs, REST connectors, or cloud integrations (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Preferred Experience with version control (Git) and data governance best practices.
  • Preferred Background in finance, sales, or operations analytics is a plus.
  • Preferred Experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.
