Position Overview

The Business & Operations team at HYBE America is seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Business Finance & Operations Analyst to support day-to-day financial and business operations from the label side. This role is ops-heavy, with primary responsibility for tracking payments and expenses, reviewing and analyzing monthly royalty statements, and following up on royalties and reimbursements that are due or pending.

The role sits within the Business Operations team and supports finance-related workflows from the business side. The analyst partners closely with business operations, finance, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy, visibility, and timely follow-up across multiple revenue streams.

This role supports finance-related workflows from the business side; payment execution is handled by finance and accounting teams.

Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken) is required to support cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week

Key Responsibilities

Finance, Payments & Royalty Operations

  • Track, reconcile, and follow up on incoming and outgoing payments across label and artist-related business activities
  • Maintain accurate records of expenses, payments made, and payments pending across internal systems
  • Allocate expenses and payments to appropriate internal business codes, cost centers, and projects
  • Review, analyze, and track monthly royalty statements from distributors and partners
  • Reconcile royalty-reported sales, revenue, deductions, and costs against internal records and expectations
  • Review and double-check royalty statements, reimbursements, and payout calculations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Track royalties, reimbursements, and other payments that are due or pending and follow up with internal teams and external partners as needed
  • Identify discrepancies, missing payments, or inconsistencies and escalate issues to finance or accounting teams for resolution
  • Support invoice tracking, payment confirmations, and related financial documentation

Business & Data Analysis

  • Analyze sales and performance data from reports and other revenue sources
  • Analyze royalty statement data to identify trends, variances, or anomalies
  • Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting on sales, revenue, and operational metrics
  • Summarize and communicate insights from royalty and sales files to internal stakeholders
  • Assist in identifying data gaps or inconsistencies and support corrective actions

Operational Support

  • Develop and maintain trackers, dashboards, and reports to support finance and business workflows
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple internal and external data sources
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing organized, timely, and accurate operational insights
  • Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement of finance, royalty, and reporting workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Music Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in business operations, finance operations, or analytical roles
  • Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken) required
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, or working with royalty statements, sales reports, or financial statements
  • Working understanding of business structures and revenue flows within the music or entertainment industry
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy; comfortable working extensively with financial data, royalty files, and large spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Comfort working with large data files, financial trackers, and analytical reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Prior experience in the music, entertainment, or media industry
  • Hands-on experience with royalty reporting and digital sales data
  • Experience working with internal finance or accounting teams
  • Familiarity with internal coding, cost allocation, or budget tracking processes

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is $70,304-$80,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
