qualification cultivation and solicitation of new corporate partners to raise revenue and awareness for USO programs and services Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties Manage all stages of new business development including but not limited to lead qualification proposal development presentation solicitation contract execution and fulfillment for all assigned corporate prospectsDevelop relationships with corporate prospects through networking opportunities conferences and in person meetingsWork cross functionally to develop and negotiate contract proposals and agreements ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly defined understood and approved prior to executionEnsure that all new business development contact lists actions proposals and activities are promptly recorded in the fundraising software databaseManage and grow a robust pipeline of prospects to meet short and long term revenue targetsOther duties as assignedJob Specifications Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field Masters degree preferred5 years work experience in a fundraisingdevelopment role Relevant experience in a non profit military multicultural andor global organization preferredKnowledge of business development strategies and processesAbility to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent communication and presentation skills Writing samples may be requested during the selection process Demonstrated ability to negotiate interpret and fulfill contract terms and agreementsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skills Ability to interact with USO Leadership the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalismProficiency using computers and electronics equipment General knowledge of various software applications and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and constituent relationship management software Familiarity with Raisers Edge preferredMust show initiative self motivation and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needsAbility to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to perform basic businessaccounting functions eg manage projects and reconcile budgetsAbility to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security credit andor background screening SOFA status valid drivers licenseMust be a strong advocate of the USOs missionDetails This position is located in Arlington VA Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the
