We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as a Business Development Expert. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will lead daily operations from a support and administrative level, coordinating complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
We will count on you to:
- Guide the sales process for a large and dense region or industry, organizing and strategizing a busy schedule of sales calls and presentations to expand the sales portfolio and target high-yield, high-risk accounts.
- Utilize an expansive internal and external network, strong industry credibility, and market insights to proactively secure business and outpace competitors for major accounts.
- Engage primarily with senior-level stakeholders to nurture and grow relationships, exercising discretion to develop accounts consistent with company policies.
- Lead market research efforts to identify potential business opportunities, leveraging deep knowledge of internal priorities, industry specialization, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence and stewardship reports, including complex financial analyses and market insights, and represent the company at industry conferences and professional organizations.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience managing sales strategies and client relationships in a large or dense regional market or specialized industry.
- Strong network within the industry or region, with demonstrated ability to generate leads and close high-value accounts.
- Advanced skills in market research, financial analysis, and proposal development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
