Trigyn’s direct government client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst in Rensselaer, NY.Description:

  • Elicit and collect necessary information and create business requirements documents,
  • Work collaboratively with the current team of staff and participate in business requirement gathering for BI projects.
  • Write SQL scripts to extract and analyze juvenile justice and child welfare data to assist creating requirements,
  • Data extraction and programming to investigate issues associated with reporting and dashboard development,
  • Recommend structures and designs for data marts, dashboards, and reports based on requirements analysis,
  • Write, maintain, and test COGNOS reports and dashboards

Mandatory Qualification:

  • Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.

  • Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

  • 84 Months of Experience in business requirement gathering, analysis and logical design; understanding and translating complex issues both in oral and written communication

  • 84 Months of Experience in creating and modifying Framework Manager & Transformer models with troubleshooting expertise

  • 84 Months of Experience in Creating and modifying reports using COGNOS tools

  • 84 Months of Experience in using SQL for analysis and reporting including conditional formatting and joining multiple queries

  • 84 Months of Experience testing reports, analytics, troubleshooting, problem solving, documenting and presenting complex data challenges to stakeholders

  • 84 Months of Experience working in social services or related fields

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
