About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our project team remotely, with occasional onsite work in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to Scrum processes and Agile practices throughout project lifecycles. This position involves facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently. The Business Analyst will serve as a coach and facilitator, promoting best practices in Agile methodologies and supporting the organization in achieving project goals. U.S. citizenship is required, and the selected candidate must undergo a government background investigation and receive favorable adjudication prior to starting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management
- At least three years of experience as a task leader managing engineering teams and overseeing the full ADP software development lifecycle
- Two or more years of experience in a Scrum Master role or similar Agile facilitation position
- Technical knowledge of software development processes and conversational proficiency in technology
- Exceptional organizational, management, and communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and systems thinking capabilities to address complex problems with technical solutions
- Ability to engage clients effectively, translating technical concepts into understandable language and demonstrating political savvy
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders, team members, and clients
- Willingness to undergo and pass a government background check and adjudication process
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and enforce Scrum and Agile practices across project teams to ensure a true Scrum process is maintained
- Serve as a coach and facilitator for development teams, promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement
- Gather and analyze requirements, develop user stories, and support requirements management activities
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Assist in the development, review, and enforcement of organizational policies, standards, and documentation practices
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with stakeholders, management, subcontractors, and project teams
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex project-related issues, providing innovative and practical solutions
- Contribute insights on systems analysis, long-term planning, and application development strategies
- Support application maintenance, documentation, and support activities to ensure operational excellence
- Participate in project planning, risk management, and resource allocation to meet project milestones and objectives
