About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst with experience in healthcare or healthcare payor organizations to join our team remotely within the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will support all market segments of the Care Management Department by providing critical business and data analysis, leading projects, and driving strategic initiatives. This role requires a proactive individual capable of translating business needs into technical requirements, analyzing complex data, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that process, policy, and system changes meet organizational objectives, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare services and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional, operational, business, data, systems, or testing analysis
• Proficiency in Power BI, MS SQL Server, Excel, and Tableau preferred
• Strong understanding of business analysis core competencies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience in project management and requirements gathering
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and payor operations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze business needs by eliciting, documenting, and validating user and technical requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create comprehensive requirements documentation and project plans
• Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and insights, and develop presentations or recommendations based on findings
• Participate in requirements analysis, verification sessions, and design reviews to ensure alignment with user needs
• Lead user acceptance testing, including planning, documentation, verification, and release activities
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot system, process, and software issues, coordinating resolution efforts with relevant stakeholders
• Develop solutions and workarounds for low-complexity technical and business issues
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of business systems, user needs, and requirements
• Monitor project progress, report status, and mitigate risks to ensure timely and quality deliverables
• Coordinate projects from inception to implementation, managing new work requests effectively
• Provide guidance and training to end users to facilitate system adoption and efficient use
